A delegation from Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Smruti Nyas, led by the President of the Nyas, met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha on 14.06.2026 and submitted a memorandum regarding the serious concern over the reported disappearance of the inquiry commission report related to the tragic assassination of Pujya Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and the subsequent violence.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed deep concern over recent reports in media and public discourse regarding the missing status of the inquiry commission report, which has created anxiety, dissatisfaction, and apprehension among the people of Odisha. The Nyas emphasized that the matter is highly sensitive and emotionally connected with lakhs of devotees and citizens, and therefore demands urgent attention and transparency.
The delegation urged the Hon’ble Chief Minister to take immediate steps to trace and recover the missing commission report within a definite timeframe and initiate exemplary action against any officials or individuals found responsible for the negligence or dereliction of duty.
Further, the delegation strongly demanded that the interim report of Justice Sarat Chandra Mohapatra and Justice Basudev Panigrahi Commission Report be made public to ensure transparency and to enable the people of Odisha to know the factual findings related to this sensitive issue.
