ଗୁଆହାଟୀ : ଜଣେ ଆଦିବାସୀ ମହିଳା ମେଘାଳୟର ପ୍ରଥମ ପୁଲିସ ମହାନିର୍ଦେଶକ (ଡିଜିପି)ହେବାକୁ ଯାଉଛନ୍ତି । ୧୯୯୨ ବ୍ୟାଚ୍‌ର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଆଇପିଏସ୍ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଈଦାଶିଶା ନୋଙ୍ଗ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ଶନିବାର ସରକାର ଏହି ପଦରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ଆସନ୍ତା ୨୦ରେ ସେ ଏଲ୍‌.ଆର ବିଷ୍ଣୋଇଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପଦଭାର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବେ । ସମ୍ପ୍ରତି ମେଘାଳୟ ସିଭିଲ ଡିଫେନ୍ସ ବିଭାଗ ମହାନିର୍ଦେଶିକା ଥିବା ଈଦାଶିଶା ୨୦୨୧ରେ କିଛି କାଳ ପାଇଁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ପୁଲିସ ମହାନିର୍ଦେଶିକା ଭାବେ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ତୁଲାଇଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାଳ ୨୦୨୬ ମେ’ ୧୯ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରହିବ । ସେ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ରାଜ୍ୟର ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଖାସି ଆଦିବାସୀ ସମ୍ପ୍ରଦାୟ ସଦସ୍ୟା । ତାଙ୍କ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସପକ୍ଷରେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜନୈତିକ ଦଳ ମତ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।
