The ‘Colours of India’ event that was conducted by Vanbandhu Parishad and Sri Hari Satsang Samiti, Dhanbad Chapter, with the aim of promoting health awareness and sports among children living in rural areas.
One of the highlights of the event was the “Ekal Ke Sang” race, covering a distance of 8.4 kilometers, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 400 children, youth, and elders. The runners were determined to reach the finish line, and their excitement and zeal were palpable throughout the race.
To motivate the participants, Ekal distributed T-shirts to all the runners, and certificates were handed out to acknowledge their participation in the race. The top three winners were awarded cash prizes of INR. 5000, INR. 3500, and INR. 2500, respectively.
The event proved to be a tremendous success in spreading awareness about physical activity and health among rural children. It also gave the participants a platform to exhibit their athletic abilities and gain recognition for their hard work and determination.
