Malappuram. Hamas terrorist leader Khaled participated in the event held in Malappuram declaring support for Hamas terrorists. The Hamas terrorist leader participated virtually in the program organized by Solidarity Youth Movement Kerala, a youth wing of the Islamic organization Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, in Malappuram.
Khaled is a leader and former head of the Palestinian militant organization Hamas. He became the recognized head of Hamas in 2004. Under his leadership, Hamas won a majority of the seats in the Palestinian legislative election in 2006.
The Solidarity Youth Movement Kerala organized a program supporting Hamas terrorists in the name of Youth Defence Rally against Zionist and Hindutva Racism. The leader of the terrorist organization Hamas has participated in the event organized in Malappuram even as Bharat was defining its stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict and asserting that the incident in Israel was a terrorist attack.
Mashal’s virtual address during the event was condemned by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president K Surendran, who questioned the Kerala Police and called for action against Khaled’s participation.
Taking to X, Surendran said, “Hamas leader Khaled’s virtual address at the Solidarity event in Malappuram is alarming. Where’s Pinarayi Vijayan’s Kerala Police? Under the guise of ‘Save Palestine,’ they’re glorifying Hamas, a terrorist organization, and its leaders as ‘warriors.’ This is unacceptable!”
Thousands of IUML supporters hit the streets of Kozhikode, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine. K. Surendran expressed concern that the Israel- Hamas conflict was being used to fuel communal tensions in the state. The BJP leader also alleged that Tharoor’s participation in the rally, given his previous role as a UN diplomat, goes against the country’s stance on the issue.
