Kochi (VSK). SFI leader Nikhil Thomas, who went to hide outs since his forgery had been exposed, is in police custody. He was arrested at Kottayam, after June 23 midnight, while travelling in a Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus. He was reportedly going to Kottarakkara. Police had registered a case against him in connection with the complaints lodged by Kerala University and MSM College, Kayamkulam, where he submitted a fake “B. Com passed” certificate and joined M. Com course. He had completed B. Com course in the same college and had failed in the examinations. Then he arranged a “B. Com passed” certificate of Kalinga University. But Kalinga made it clear that Nikhil was never a student there. The fake certificate reads that he studied in both places simultaneously.
Nikhil is reported to have admitted to the police that former SFI area secretary Abin C. Raj arranged the fake certificate for him. Now, he is a teacher in Maldives. Kayamkulam police have said that Abin would be brought back home soon for investigation.
Nikhil’s comrade and another SFI leader K. Divya is in police custody for forging an experience certificate of prestigious Maharaja’s College where she was a mere student. She worked in two colleges with the support of the forged document. When she went to the third college, the authorities traced the fraud hence she went underground. She was arrested couple of days back.
